m0leCon 2022 is the fourth edition of the computer security conference organized by the student team pwnthem0le in collaboration with Politecnico di Torino. The aim is to bring together hackers, security experts, and IT specialists from different backgrounds and skill levels. The conference will feature a variety of talks and presentations, mostly focused on multiple aspects of offensive security. It will be entirely held in english at the Aula Magna "Giovanni Agnelli" at Politecnico di Torino.

m0leCon CTF

The main CTF is aimed to experienced CTF teams. It started on May 13-14 2022 with a 24h long online qualifier called the "m0leCon Teaser CTF 2022". The final phase will be played on-site only, in Attack/Defense style, with a duration of 12 hours, from 9am to 9pm (Italy time) on November 18th 2022. It will be limited to the 5 top teams from the Teaser CTF and a small number of teams of conference attendees that will request to partecipate.

Every participating team should have a minimum of 2 members and a maximum of 4 members on-site for the full duration of the event. If you are an experienced team willing to participate email us at info@m0lecon.it with team name and list of team members. Teams will be accepted up to the maximum capacity of the rooms.

m0leCon Beginner CTF and workshops

The beginner CTF is aimed at students and newcomers, with very easy to mid-level challenges in jeopardy style. This CTF is open to all, without limitations on the number of teams.

It will be held on Saturday, November 12th in hybrid mode: on-site for Politecnico di Torino students and Turin-based teams, and online for everyone else. The CTF will be 5 hours long, from 2 pm to 7 pm, and teams can have up to 4 people.

One hour before the end, the scoreboard will be frozen and the winners will be announced during the conference the following week. The top 3 teams whose all members are students at Politecnico di Torino will be awarded.

To prove that you are a student from Politecnico di Torino, you will have to use your institutional email address during registration.

For the first time, this year, our team is also organizing 3 free introductory-level workshops on CTFs, primarily targeted to Politecnico students, but open to all. They will be held every Thursday from 6pm to 8.30pm, from October 20th to November 3rd, on-site at Politecnico di Torino.

During these workshops, basic concepts of software and web exploitation will be shown through interactively solving a set of challenges from the m0leCon Beginner CTF 2021 and other international entry-level competitions.
